Orthopaedic Surgery Medical School Education
Educational Leadership: The Department’s educational direction began in 1967 when Department Chairman Dr. James B. Wray recruited a young group of orthopaedic surgeons to serve as the nucleus of a full-time academic department. Today the Department's teaching team is made up of full-time educators, volunteer faculty and resident staff.
The Department has services/clinics at IU Health University Hospital, IU Health Riley Hospital for Children, Eskenazi Health, Roudebush VA Medical Center, and the IU Health Simon Cancer Center, all located on the downtown campus, in addition to the IU Health Methodist Hospital, IU Health West Hospital, IU Health Saxony Hospital, and IU Health North Hospital.
