Bone Research Travel Award
The Charles H. Turner Young Investigator Bone Research Award
The Charles H. Turner Young Investigator Bone Research Award was established to honor the memory of our colleague and friend, Charles Turner, PhD. His life ended early following a battle with colorectal cancer. We miss him and are thankful for all of his contributions to the field of bone biology and bone biomechanics and to training the next generation of scientists and engineers. Thus, we felt it fitting to honor his memory by establishing a travel award for students and trainees to attend a bone specialty meeting he regularly attended (Advances in Mineral Metabolism or the Sun Valley Meeting) which also focuses on mentoring young investigators.
